How the league table calculator works

Enter your teams and create a league. Then record match results. The standings update automatically using a standard three-points-for-a-win football scoring system.

Teams are sorted by points, then goal difference, goals scored, wins and name. The table displays games played (P), wins (W), draws (D), losses (L), goals for (GF), goals against (GA), goal difference (GD) and points (Pts).

Are my results saved?

Yes. Your league and scores are stored locally in your browser on your device. You can also share a read-only snapshot link with others. They remain available when you return on the same browser unless you clear website data or use the “Clear saved league” button. This version does not synchronise results across devices.

What kinds of leagues are supported?

Ideal for informal football and five-a-side leagues, casual game competitions and groups using win/draw/loss scoring. For other scoring formats such as rugby or bonus-point systems, a specialist tool may be more appropriate.

Can I download the league table?

Yes. Export the latest standings as a CSV file for Excel or other spreadsheet applications.

Can I share a live table with other people?

Not yet. This version stores your league on your current device. Shareable online leagues would require a hosted database.

Example: a football league result

Suppose Tigers beat Falcons 3–1. Tigers get 3 points, with 3 goals for, 1 against and a goal difference of +2. Falcons receive 0 points and a goal difference of −2. A 2–2 draw gives both teams 1 point each.

If two teams finish level on points, FixtureFox sorts them by goal difference, then goals scored, then wins, then name. This is a simple default for informal competitions; official league rules may use a different tie-break order.

How to organise a small five-a-side league

Start by entering 4–12 team names and creating the league table. To plan who plays whom, use our round robin fixture generator. After each match, enter the home and away scores here. The table recalculates played, wins, draws, losses, goals for, goals against, goal difference and points.

Results stay in the current browser on this device, not on a shared website. You can export the standings to CSV, but there is no live public league link or automatic synchronisation between phones.
