Create a knockout tournament

Enter between 2 and 32 players or team names, one per line.

Your knockout bracket will appear here.

How to make a tournament bracket

Enter the names of the players or teams and select “Build bracket”. Your tournament is set up as a single-elimination knockout: each match produces one winner who progresses to the next round.

Click the winning player in each matchup to advance them. The next-round matchups update immediately. If the tournament size is not a power of two (for example six players), some participants receive an automatic first-round bye.

Random draw or seeded bracket?

A random draw shuffles participants before placing them in the bracket. In seeded mode, the first name is seed 1, the second is seed 2, and so on; stronger seeds are distributed across the bracket so they are less likely to meet early.

Which competitions are suitable?

Use brackets for darts tournaments, pool competitions, gaming tournaments, five-a-side knockouts and school events. For leagues where each team plays all the others, use our round robin generator instead.

Can I print the bracket?

Yes. Use the Print / save PDF button after creating your tournament. Your browser can print it or save it as a PDF. You can also share a link to a read-only snapshot of the bracket and the winners selected so far.

Can I run a double-elimination competition?

Not in this first release. The generator currently supports single elimination only.

Example: six-player knockout tournament

A six-player single-elimination competition needs an eight-slot bracket. Two players receive first-round byes while the other four play two opening matches. The competition then moves to two semi-finals and a final — five matches in total. FixtureFox inserts the byes automatically, so you can enter six names without manually inventing empty slots.

Click a winner in each completed match to advance them to the next round. If you change an earlier result, later selections are cleared to avoid retaining the wrong champion. Use Print / save PDF for a paper copy.

What sort of bracket does this maker support?

Supported

Single-elimination knockout competitions for 2–32 players or teams, with random draws or seed-number ordering.

Not currently supported

Double elimination, group stages, live multi-user brackets or a permanent public tournament URL.

If you want every participant to play every other participant, choose the round robin fixture generator instead. To record league results after matches, use the league table maker.
